Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 1/2 cups canned pumpkin
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
1/4 cup orange juice
2 cups flour
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Crumb topping
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 stick soft margarine

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix all wet ingredients together, then add dry ingredients, mixing well. Spread in 9 x 13 greased and lightly-floured pan.

Mix together crumb topping. Cut with pastry cutter till small peas. Add more flour if mix holds together too much. Sprinkle crumb topping on top of batter.

Bake 35 to 45 minutes until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool 5 to 10 minutes to make serving easier.
