Melt butter or margarine. Gradually add sugar while stirring. Add egg, beat in to sugar and butter mixture. Gradually add flour while stirring.
Spread dough with floured hands onto a floured baking sheet or baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 12-15 minutes. Let cool for 1-5 minutes then slice as desired.
