Pour 1 cup water over bread that has been broken up in small pieces and soak for several minutes, then mash fine. Add rest of ingredients except tomato sauce and oregano.
Mix well and put into a loaf pan.
Bake 30 minutes at 375°F. Then pour tomato sauce and oregano over top. Bake another 20 minutes.
