1 qt finely chopped apples-granny apples preferred
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 Tbsp flour
2 cups buttermilk (or sour cream)
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 unbaked pie shells
Topping:
1 cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
4 oz butter
3/4 cup flour-cream together

Chop apples fine; add sugar and flour, mix well. Add buttermilk and eggs. Stir in vanilla. Pour into 2 unbaked pie shells.

Bake at 400°F for 30 minutes.

Remove from oven and sprinkle topping over pies. Bake 10 minutes longer.
