Meatballs: Mix hamburger, with rest of ingredients. Take a tablespoon and scoop up mixture and make into balls.
Put water in saucepan and add beef broth and onion. Cut onion into sections. Peel and cut potatoes into 4, and carrots into 3 sections. Keep them on the large side. Place potatoes and carrots into broth and bring to a boil.
When boiling, start adding meatballs slowly so as to not to stop the boil. When all are added, turn down heat to a simmer, place a lid on the top of saucepan and cook until potatoes and carrots are done.
