1 box German chocolate cake mix (prepared as directed)
14 oz Kraft Caramels
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 can sweetened condensed milk
6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 13" x 9" cake pan. Prepare cake mix as directed. Pour 1/2 of mix into cake pan. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
Melt caramels over low heat. Add butter and stir until melted. Stir in sweetened condensed milk. Mix well. Pour over cooled cake. Sprinkle with semi-sweet chocolate chips. Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
Spread remaining cake mixture over top of this. Return to oven and bake for 30 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream.
