In a non-stick deep pan, boil water along with oil and salt.
Meanwhile, wash rice and drain until water comes out almost clear.
When water begins to boil, add in rice and occasionally stir around to prevent sticking. Allow water to be soaked in to the rice until there is water at the base of the pan boiling. Then place top on pan and lower heat. Rice is ready to be served after the grain is tender.
