Original recipe yields 1 serving
3 Tbsp olive oil
3 large chopped onions
1 small bell pepper, chopped
4 cloves chopped garlic
2 cans (8 oz.) tomato paste
1/3 cup Italian seasoning
Sprinkle garlic powder, parsley, oregano, salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup sugar
May add chicken, meatballs, Italian sausage

Fry onions, peppers and garlic in olive oil until they are soft, and then add tomato paste and fry stirring often for 30 minutes.

Then add 5 cans of water (use tomato paste can) and stir. Add seasoning and sugar and cook for 3-4 hours on low heat.

Add meat the last hour of cooking time. Serve over angel hair pasta. Vegetarians may add eggs and eggplant. May sprinkle with Italian cheese.
