Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 lb pasta (cavatelli or rotelle)
1 lb ground sweet pork sausage
or
1 lb sweet sausage links cut into bite sized pieces
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup butter
3-4 cloves garlic, chopped
2 cups chicken broth
1 Tbsp salt
1 1/2 cups broccoli florets, steamed
1 cup parmesan cheese

Cook pasta until almost done. If using ground sausage, make little bite sized meatballs. Brown in oil, either on stovetop or in the oven. When brown, remove to paper towels to drain.

In same pan, melt butter - lightly saute garlic, add chicken broth, salt, broccoli and sausage. Simmer till all are heated through.

Add pasta and parmesan cheese. Toss until all are coated.
