Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 pound rotini, or similar pasta
2 pounds ground beef
1 can (32 oz.) crushed tomatoes
1 can (10 oz.) tomato sauce
1 Tbsp dried oregano
1 Tbsp dried basil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper of a few grinds fresh black pepper
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Cook pasta to package directions, drain, and set aside.

In drained pot, brown ground beef over medium heat and drain.

Reduce heat to low, return ground beef to pot, and add remaining ingredients except cheese. Make sure to rub oregano and basil between palms as you add them to the pot to release the flavor. When mixture bubbles, stir in pasta and cheese.
