Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 lb ground beef
1 envelope taco seasoning
1 jar (16 oz.) Thick and Chunky salsa
1 can (16 oz.) refried beans (low fat or regular)
1 pkg (8 or 10 count) large flour tortillas
lb 1 or 2 shredded cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cook beef and taco seasoning and set aside.

Mix can of refried beans with jar of thick and chunky salsa in a bowl, set aside.

Place a tablespoon sized amount of the ground beef mixture in the bottom of a 9x13 pan and spread it around the bottom so that the first tortilla layer doesn't stick. After placing your first layer of tortillas down, begin your layers. 1/3 ground beef, tortillas, 1/3 beans, tortillas, thin layer of cheese, tortillas. Continue untill your last layer is cheese, top with a generous portion of shredded cheese.

Place in your preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until your cheese is melted and your dish is warmed through.
