4 cups flour
2 teaspoon s baking powder
1 1/4 cups milk
2 teaspoon s vanilla
4 sticks butter(room temp.)
2 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups pecans(finely chopped)
6 large eggs(room temp)

sift flour & baking powder into medium bowl. In measuring cup combine milk & vanilla . in large bowl beat the butter until creamy; gradually add sugar about 2 minutes. add eggs 1 at a time. beat in flour in three parts( not all at once) alternating with milk mixture. beat until smooth. fold pecans in 1/2 cup at a time. pour into floured 10 inch tube pan. cook for about 1 hour 15 minutes on 350 degrees.
