Original recipe yields 1 serving
6 whole eggs
2 cans evaporated milk
1 can condensed milk
1 TBSP vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups of granulated sugar

Mix eggs, milk, and vanilla extract with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.

On the stove top in a small pot place 1 1/2 cups of sugar on low flame. Stir sugar until it forms caramel DO NOT BOIL --

Pour hot caramel on the bottom of a 11 x 8 rectangular pan or 9 inch square pan -- pour egg mixture over crystalized caramel.

Place in oven at 350 degrees in a double boiler method for 1 hour -- flan is ready when knife in center comes out clean.

Cool, release sides from pan and turn over on a serving dish -- refrigerate before serving for best taste.
