Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic; saute 15 minutes or until onion is slightly browned.
Reduce heat to medium. Stir in cheese and remaining ingredients. Cook 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
Serve hot with tortilla chips.
