Combine sauce ingredients in sauce pan on burner over medium-low heat for 15-20 minutes stirring until well mixed. Transfer to a bowl that you can baste from.
Prepare medium-hot charcoal grill (350-450 degrees F) using two layer method (move all coals to one side or provide other means to cook with indirect heat).
Dip each wing in sauce and place on grill. Cook for 10 to 15 min. Patience is the key to these great tasting wings as cooking can take up to an hour. Turn and baste the wings 4 or 5 times more during cooking. Wings will turn golden brown and become sticky but remain very juicy.
