Cook ground beef and chopped onions together. Drain well, and rinse in warm water. Drain pintos and black beans, rinse in cold water.
In large soup pot or crock-pot, add all ingredients, mix very well.
If cooked on stovetop, cook for 45 minutes to an hour at a med/hi heat, stirring occasionally. In crock-pot, cook on hi for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
