Original recipe yields 1 serving
2-3 lb stew meat or short rib meat, cut up into 1/2 to 1 inch pieces
1 package dry onion soup mix
2 cans golden mushroom soup
2 cans tomato soup
1 can mushrooms (stem & pieces)
3/4 cup red wine
2 cups cut up carrots
2 cups cut up potatoes in 1 inch pieces
1 cup cut up celery & onion (optional)

Place meat into 4 quart size casserole dish. Sprinkle dry onion soup over meat and stir.

Add cans of soup, mushroom pieces and red wine. Mix well. Cover casserole dish.

Bake in 300 degrees F oven approximately 3 1/2 hours or until meat is tender. Vegetables and potatoes can be added 1 1/2 hours prior to completed baking time.
