Smothered Pork Chops or Steaks with Veggies

6 pork chops or beef steaks
1 green bell pepper
1 medium onion
Salt
Pepper
Season salt or Cajun season
Lemon pepper
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 cup hot water, divided

Preheat your oven for 300 degrees F. Clean your meat and lay each pork chop or steak out in a large cake pan about an inch apart.

Chop your bell pepper and onion thin slices and put off to the side. Season you meat with the salt, pepper, season salt or Cajun season or both and your lemon pepper. PLEASE SEASON BOTH SIDES OF THE MEAT EVENLY FOR EVEN TASTE.

Take the chopped bell pepper and onion and spread over the meat on both sides for even flavor. Now put 1/2 cup of hot water over the meat so it won't stick.

Slide the pan with the meat in the oven and turn heat up to 350 degrees F and set timer for 30 minutes or until meat is cooked through.

Now for the Home Made Gravy, put medium skillet on the stove over medium high heat and pour the all purpose flour in the skillet using a large spoon slightly move the flour so it doesn't stick to the skillet. As the flour turns brown or as brown as you want your gravy to be, you start to pour the other 1/2 cup of hot water or as needed to thin it out into the skillet and stir in order to mix. Pour back into the measuring cup and if it is still too thick, add a little water until your liking. Add as much seasoning until gravy tastes just right for you.
