Original recipe yields 1 serving
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup butter (may substitute both marg. and butter for butter Crisco)
1 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 Tablespoons milk
2 teaspoon s vanilla
2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups quick cooking oats
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Mix margarine and butter together with dark brown sugar and granulated sugar until creamy. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla and stir.

In separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add to the butter mixture a little at a time and mix thoroughly. Add oats and stir. Then add chocolate chips and walnuts and mix completely.

Bake at a 350 degrees F oven for 8-10 minutes. Cook on pan for 1-2 minutes, then move to a wire rack to complete cooling.
