Original recipe yields 1 serving
Dough -
3/4 cup sugar
4 1/2 cups lukewarm water
1/4 cup yeast
2 Tbsp salt
2 cups shortening
2 cups dry powder milk
12 cups flour
Filling -
10 lb ground beef, browned and drained
add 2 cups catsup
2 cups mayonnaise
1/2 cup mustard
1 lb fine chopped onions
3 1/2 lb grated American cheese

Combine first 3 ingredients in mixing bowl. Let yeast work for 10 min. while getting other ingredients together.

Add salt, shortening, powder milk and about 1/2 of the flour. Put in mixer and beat until smooth. Add rest of flour slowly. Let mix until dough pulls away from sides, flour is dissolved.

Roll dough on lightly floured surface, and cut into 4 inch squares and put filling in each. Mix well. Add cheese. Pick up by all 4 corners of dough and press together. Place upside-down on pan.

Bake at 350°F till golden brown, about 15 to 20 min. Brush with butter and enjoy.
