Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Mix together in a bowl eggs, vanilla, butter or margarine, salt, vanilla pudding (dry), sugar, brown sugar and chocolate chips.
Sift together flour and baking soda. Add flour mixture to the other mixture one cup at a time until all of the flour is mixed in well.
Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
