Original recipe yields 1 serving
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 cup milk
2 cups cooked cubed chicken
1 can (drained) canned peas
1/2 cup sliced carrots (or 1 can drained)
2 tablespoons chopped onion
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
FLAKY PASTRY
1 cup flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup shortening
3 tablespoons ice water

Melt butter in large saucepan, add flour. Gradually add broth and milk. Cook until thickened. Stir in remaining ingredients.

Make pastry. Roll dough to 1/4" thickness. Pour pot pie mix into casserole (2 qt.) and top with crust.

Bake at 400°F for 30 minutes.
