Bring water with coffee granules to a boil. Stir in marshmallows and butter. Cook and stir over low heat until marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth being careful to not allow to burn. Remove from heat.
Refrigerate, stirring occasionally until mixture is cool and begins to thicken.
Fold in Cool Whip and chocolate. Pour into crust.
Chill for at least two hours.
