1 yellow cake mix
4 eggs, divided
1/2 cup melted butter
11/2 cup karo syrup
1/2 cup dark brown sugar, packed
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups chopped pecans

Mix cake mix, 1 egg, & melted butter well. Reserve 2/3 cup of this batter. Spread the rest into a greased and floured 9x13 pan and bake for 15 minutes at 325 degrees F.

Mix reserve batter with syrup, 3 eggs, brown sugar, vanilla, and pecans. Pour this filling on top of crust.

Cook about 50 to 60 minutes at 325 degrees F. Let cool for 15 minutes before serving.
