Boil chicken until tender and dice. Set aside the chicken broth.
In a large pan, place the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Then put in all ingredients except the milk, cream, and grated cheese. Let it boil for 5 minutes.
Then add in the milk. Temper the cream by placing a cup of boiling broth in a bowl and then mix in the cream. Put the tempered cream in the boiling mixture and let it boil for another 2 minutes, then top it with grated cheese.
