1 cup real butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 3/4 - 2 cups flour

Cream the butter and sugar together till fluffy. Gradually add the flour and salt. Blend

mix till blended.

On lightly floured board, press into 1/2 - 1/4 inch thickness and cut into cookies. Prick tops with fork and sprinkle with sugar.

Bake in 325°F oven for about 15 - 20 minutes. Cookies are ready when edges are just barely turning pale gold. Do not over bake.
