Original recipe yields 1 serving
3 cups pecan pieces (2 cups finely ground & 1 cup chopped), divided
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) melted butter or margarine
1 pkg (14 oz.) Kraft Caramels
2/3 cup whipping cream - (1/3 cup & 1/3 cup)
1 pkg (8 squares) Bakers Semi-Sweet Chocolate
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix 2 cups finely chopped nuts with sugar & butter. Press into 9-inch pie plate. Bake 2 minutes until lightly browned. Cool completely.

Microwave caramels & 1/3 cup whipping cream for 3 minutes (stirring after each minute). Pour into crust & spread 1 cup chopped nuts on top.

Place chocolate, remaining cream, powdered sugar & vanilla in saucepan. Cook & stir on low heat until chocolate is melted. Pour over pie. Gently spread to cover top. Refrigerate at least 2 hours.
