Place pie shell in preheated 350°F oven for 5 minutes.
Make instant pudding according to recipe for pie filling on the box. Pour pudding into pie shell and chill for 1 hour.
Take out the pie and swirl as little or as much chocolate syrup desired over the top, and refrigerate for another 1/2 to 2 hours.
