Let's Make It
In a pot, heat oil until hot or preheat deep fryer to 375 degrees F. Carefully lay out wonton wrappers on a dry surface. In a bowl mix cream cheese and crab meat until well blended. Place small spoonfuls onto the center of each wonton. Fold wontons diagonally, so that it makes a triangle when folded, and press edges firmly to seal closed.
Drop wontons only 2-3 at a time into fryer oil, do not stir until they have fried for at least 45 seconds. Fry the wontons for 3-5 minutes or until outside edge of wonton is crisp and there are bubbles on the outside (this may depend on type of wonton wrappers used, but almost all bubble when fried).
Set into paper towel lined bowl to drain and then place on platter to serve.
