Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water. Drain oranges keeping syrup. Add syrup to cold water to make one cup of liquid. Add to Jell-O. Chill until slightly thickened.
Blend in softened sherbet and oranges.
Pour into quart mold or 8x 11 inch pan. Chill until firm.
