Candied Yams

Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 can (40 oz.) cut yams
2/3 cup syrup from can of yams
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine
Cinnamon
2 cups miniature marshmallows

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Drain yams, saving 2/3 cup of syrup from can. Place yams in baking dish.

Combine syrup from can, sugar and butter in saucepan, heat to boiling stirring constantly. Pour sauce over yams and bake for 15 minutes, basting yams every five minutes.

Remove from oven, sprinkle with cinnamon and top with marshmallows. Return to oven for approx. 15 minutes or until marshmallows are lightly browned.
