1 package (12 oz.) regular ground sausage
1 large onion
1 whole pack celery
2 loaves lite wheat bread
1 can chicken broth, fat free
2 eggs
Poultry seasoning
Salt and pepper

Brown sausage in frying pan, save the grease in the pan. Chop the onion and celery and brown them in the sausage drippings.

Tear the bread in to small pieces (this is a good job for kids to help with) put in a large bowl for mixing.

You will need to put the sausage and the onion and celery through the meat grinder before you add it to the bread. Once that is done add into the same bowl as the bread.

Add the chicken broth, eggs, poultry seasoning, and salt & pepper. You need to measure the chicken broth as you pour it, you do not want too much broth. Just enough for the stuffing to blend into a smooth mixture, but it should still be stiff.

As you add the rest of the ingredients do so to taste. Mix with an electric mixer. Before you bake the stuffing, take a small amount and cook it in a frying pan on the stove to be sure there are enough seasonings.

Bake either in your turkey on in a casserole dish. Be sure to spray casserole dish with cooking spray. Bake at 350°F for about 1 hour. Check with a tooth pick it should come out clean when stuffing is done.
