Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 bag brown lentils
1/2 cup olive oil
1 Tbsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 Tbsp parsley
1 large onion, chopped fine
1 tsp sweet basil or 1 fresh leaf
1 large stalk celery, chopped fine
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 pound linguine, broken into small pieces

Let's Make It

Wash lentils. Place in large pot and cover with cold water. Add olive oil. Bring to a boil and simmer until soft, about 1 hour.

Add rest of ingredients (except linguine) and simmer for another 1/2 hour.

Cook linguine according to package directions. Drain half of water then combine with lentil mixture in large pot.
