Seasonings as desired (e.g., season salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc.)
4-6 servings instant mashed potatoes, prepared as directed on box

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Layer the ground beef on the bottom of a pie pan or casserole dish. Sprinkle the cheese (keep some for the top) and seasonings over the meat.
Then press the potatoes over the top smoothing as you go. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the potatoes and press into it so it won't fall off. Run a knife between the edge of the dish and the potatoes to allow for steam to escape.
Bake for 20 minutes or until potatoes are slightly browned on top. Serve.
