Pare, core, and cut apples in eights (6 cups). Arrange in pastry shell.
Combine sugar, all-purpose flour, and salt. Stir in light cream. Pour mixture over apples. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon. Cover loosely with foil.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 1 hour. Remove foil; bake 15 minutes or till apples are done. Serve warm with Kraft Cheddar Cheese, if desired.
