Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 jar mincemeat
1 tart apple, grated
1 jigger brandy or rum or 1/2 jigger of each
1 tsp lemon juice
1 recipe plain pastry for double crust pie (You can use prepared pastry if desired)

Add apple, brandy/rum and lemon juice to the mincemeat and mix well.

Place pastry in a nine inch pie dish, add mincemeat and cover with pastry top. Cut two to three slits in top of pie.

Bake at 400°F for 30 minutes until golden brown. Serve while warm. Cover with Cool Whip.
