Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sifted powdered sugar, divided
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup finely chopped nuts of choice

Mix thoroughly: butter, 1/2 cup powdered sugar and vanilla. Stir flour and salt into first mixture; mix in nuts.

Chill dough until able to work with easily; roll into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400°F for 10-12 minutes.

While still warm, sprinkle with or roll in powdered sugar. Cool; sprinkle with powdered sugar again.
