Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 lb package frozen mixed berries *
1/2 cup quick cooking or old fashioned oats
1/3 cup stick butter or margarine - softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup all purpose flour
3/4 tsp cinnamon
3/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Vanilla, cherry vanilla, or chocolate chip/chunk ice cream
Cool Whip
Fresh mint
* I like raspberries, blueberries and blackberries, but any mixture will do well. For the holidays pick something with red!

Heat oven to 350°F. In a greased 8 X 8 x 2 baking dish, open frozen fruit package

and spread over pan evenly.

Mix oats, butter, sugar, flour and spices in a bowl until "crumbly" and spread over berries. Bake about 30 minutes until topping is golden and fruit is slightly bubbly.

Serve slightly warm or cooled over ice cream and garnish with Cool Whip and fresh mint.
