Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 lb Land O Lakes unsalted butter, softened
2 tsp vanilla (I use perpetual vanilla that I made)
1/2 cup sugar
4 cups Gold Medal Flour
Brown paper
Confectioners' sugar

Butter MUST be very soft. Place soft butter in a large bowl and beat 5 minutes with electric beater until fluffy. Add vanilla and sugar. Then add flour gradually. Makes a soft dough.

Make rounded cookies using a tablespoon to measure. Place on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees F. When done they should be a very light tan.

Place on brown paper and cool. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar (using a strainer).
