Original recipe yields 1 serving
3 cups sugar
1 cup white syrup
½ cup water
3 cups raw Spanish peanuts
2 tsp baking soda

Stir together sugar, syrup and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved and the mixture comes to a boil. Cook without stirring until temp. comes to 280°F.

Stir in peanuts gradually so mixture continues to boil. Cook stirring often until temp is 300°F. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda gently.

Pour onto two greased cookie sheets (or lined with aluminum foil). When the candy is cool – break into pieces.
