Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream together butter, sugar, egg and vanilla. Gradually add flour and oats.
Roll out onto floured surface and cut into your favorite shapes. This is a moist dough. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 8 - 10 minutes.
