8 drops of food coloring (whatever color you want)

Add one ingredient at a time in order given mixing well after adding each ingredient saving approximately 1 cup flour to roll cookies. Chill overnight or all day in refrigerator.
Roll out about 2 cups of dough and cut cookies with your favorite cutters. Keep dough in fridge while working with cutters.
Bake at 350 degrees about 10 to 12 minutes, adjusting time according to the thickness you make your cookies. Makes good thick soft cookies if you like them or thin crisp if that is your preference.
Frost cookies with: confectioners' sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, food coloring and splash of milk. Adjust milk according to how thick you want frosting and then sprinkle with decorations that come in small bottles in the grocery store.
