Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 lb sirloin (or round steak)
2/3 cup water
1 can (3 oz.) sliced mushrooms with liquid
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 cup sour cream
2 Tbsp flour
Egg noodles (according to servings needed)

Trim fat from meat, then cut meat diagonally across the grain in very thin strips. Then cut into bite size pieces.

Brown meat, then add 2/3 cup water and can of sliced mushrooms. Stir in onion soup mix. Heat to boiling. Simmer until meat is tender.

Blend sour cream and flour. Slowly add to hot mixture while stirring. Cook and stir until mixture thickens slightly. Serve over cooked noodles.
