1 packet instant garlic and herb mashed potatoes *
1/2 pound to 1 pound American cheese slices **
1 (9 in.) ready to bake pie crust

Let's Make It
Brown ground beef until all red is gone, drain. Mix in taco seasoning as directed on package (instead of adding water I leave a little of the grease from the meat in the pan for the flavor and I mix the seasoning mix with that). Make the instant mash potatoes as directed on package.
Fill pie crust with meat and cover with a layer (or two) of the American cheese. Spread mashed potatoes over the top.
Put in the oven 450 degrees F until cheese is melted (you should be able to tell it will kind of come over the side a little) and the potatoes with have a nice crispy tannish brown to the top. Let cool and enjoy.
