Original recipe yields 1 serving
4 large yellow squash
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup water
1 Tbsp sugar
3/4 cup Kraft Grated Colby-Jack Cheese

Let's Make It

Wash squash and cut off each end and discard. Slice into 1/2" slices into 2 qt. sauce pan.

Add salt, pepper, and water. Cover and simmer for 30-35 minutes, until squash is soft when stuck with a fork.

Drain squash in colander. Pour back into pan and mash with potato masher. Drain a second time.

Pour into pan and add sugar and cheese. Cover and let set five minutes. Stir before serving.
