Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 can (14 ounce) beef broth
2 tsp ginger
4 garlic cloves
1/2 cup soy sauce
3 pound lean, boneless beef roast or beef round steak
2 large onions, sliced & separated into rings
1/4 cup flour

1. In a 4 quart slow cooker, mix together the broth, ginger, garlic, & soy sauce. Place the beef chunks in the broth mixture. Top with the onion slices.

2. Cover & cook on the low heat setting 8 hours or until the beef is tender. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour & 3/4 cup liquid from the slow cooker until smooth. Stir the flour mixture back into the liquid in the slow cooker. Increase the heat to the high setting & cook, uncovered, on high 30-40 minutes longer. Cut the meat into slices before serving.
