Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 lb bulk mild breakfast sausage
2-3 green peppers
1 medium yellow onion
1 lb elbow macaroni
1 lb can peeled whole tomatoes
1/4 cup Kraft Regular Barbecue sauce
Salt & pepper
1 cup Kraft Sharp Shredded Cheese

Break apart sausage & brown in large frying pan. Drain & set aside sausage (save drippings in pan).

Chop peppers & onion in medium chunks & saute in sausage drippings, drain & discard fat. Cook macaroni as per directions for al dente. Cut tomatoes into small pieces (save liquid).

Mix macaroni & sausage together. Place in 1 quart casserole dish. Mix in peppers, onions, tomatoes & barbecue sauce. Salt & pepper to taste. Pour liquid from tomatoes over mixture & top with shredded cheese.

Cook in 350 degrees F oven for 1 hour. Remove and let stand 10 minutes before serving.
