1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 large onion (optional, can use onion powder)
6-8 large potatoes, peeled
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 cups milk or cream
1 pkg Kraft Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Brown ground beef and onion; drain if necessary. Slice potatoes and par boil them in lightly salted water. Combine browned ground meat, mushroom soup and milk in skillet, bring to a simmer.

Spray or butter a large casserole dish. Begin by layering the ground meat mixture, potatoes and cheese (in that order!) Top layers with remaining cheddar cheese.

Bake at 350°F for 20-30 minutes or until cheese is golden brown. Let stand 10 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
