1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup olive oil
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 chicken bouillon cube, softened in 1/2 cup water
1 cup milk
1 can (8 oz.) sliced mushrooms
8 oz egg noodles or store bought frozen dumplings

Coat all chicken pieces with the seasonings, dredge in the flour, and brown in the olive oil, low heat, until slightly browned on all sides.
Remove chicken from pan, add soups, water with bouillon cube, milk, and mushrooms, and stir together. Season to taste with above seasonings. Return chicken to pan. Bring to a boil and lower heat to a simmer and cook for approx. 1 hour, stirring often, to keep it from sticking. The broth will thicken on its on in the pan to make a good gravy.
Meanwhile, as chicken is cooking cook the noodles, or dumplings according to directions, and serve the smothered chicken over them.
