Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 lb ground beef
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 cup 1/2 inch chopped yellow cheese that melts (American or cheddar)
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 - 2 cans tomato sauce (I use 2 cans, but one is OK)
1/4 cup blanched chopped green pepper (optional)
1 cup macaroni noodles

Mix all in a casserole and cover.

Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes to 1 hour until cheese is melted and casserole is bubbly.

Serve with canned or fresh beans, French bread slices, salad.
